Number of Persons Employed |
The number of persons employed (as measured by the Household Survey) in Yolo County increased 1.4% (1,200 persons) in 2012, compared with the decrease of 0.2% (200 persons)in 2011. The forecast for 2013, based on actual data through December, 2012, is for an increase of 1.2% (1,100 persons). |
Unemployment |
The Yolo County annual Unemployment Rate for 2012 was 111.4%, down a full percentage point from the 12.4% rate in 2011. The forecast for 2013, based on actual data through December, 2012, is an unchanged annual rate of 11.4%. |
Taxable Sales |
Taxable Sales from all Outlets in Yolo County increased 2.7% ($78.1 million) in 2010, reversing some of the $481.9 million (14.4%) decline in 2009. The forecast for 2011, based on actual data through the 3rd quarter of 2011, is for another increase of 9.7% ($284.9 million), followed by increase of 3.7% in 2012 and by another 3.7% increase in 2013, putting the total taxable sales back up at the 2008 level. |
Building Permits |
Residential Building Permits in Yolo County have fallen considerably since the peak of 2,198 residential permits in 2004, 88.8% to be exact, to the 2010 low of 247 residential permits issued. The results for 2012 were a 9.9% (28 permit) increase to 311 permits issued. The forecast for 2013, based on actual data through December, 2012, is for a decline of 5.5% (17 permits). |
