31Jan13: The annual average Unemployment Rate for Amador County in 2012 was 11.9%, down from the 2011 rate of 12.8%. The forecast for 2013, based on actual data through December, 2012, is an increase to 12.4% in 2013. |
Taxable Sales |
31Janl3: Taxable sales, for all outlets, declined another 2.5% ($9.1 million) in 2010, after dropping 15.2% ($65.3 million) in 2009, after dropping 12.9% ($63.4 million) in 2008. Sales have declined from a high of $491.7 million in 2007 to $353.9 million in 2010, an amount below the 2000 level of taxble sales for the county. The forecast for 2011, based on actual results through the 3rd quarter of 2011, is for a much improved 5.6% ($19.7 million) increase, followed by an smaller increase of 2.5% ($9.5 million) in both 2012 and 2013. |
